Can a rear end out of a 82 Toyota 2w drive 5 speed. Go in a 79 Toyota pick up 4w drive 5 speed

got to change out hubs from 5 lug to 6 lug. will that make a big difference

I think that the '82 had a 55 inch rear end. You will have to find out how wide your '79 is and what the gear ratios are for the '82 rear end as well as the original '79. If they are both the same width and have the same gears, it should work. I would do some research just to be sure.
