How to detect where leak in front and back passenger side

Question type: General

When it rains I get puddling in both front and rear footwells on passenger side. No apparent
problem with the car exterior. The car is in excellent shape. How can I work out from where the
water is coming?  Is there an easy fix?  Is there a fix?

Common sources of water leaks are sunroof drains, door weatherseal and cowl leaks. In older cars, sometimes the firewall develops rust holes near the front wheels. Look behind the carpet for signs of water.
