If this Bantam is the Petrol Engine Rocam Engine. If the engine is cranking and no spark at the spark plugs , its most likely the starter relay has a short circuit. Replace the starter relay

Check also the fuses and the Main relay. This as you have described could be the main Main relay to the whole system. If you hit a pothole , check the Impact or Inertia switch which is located on the left side A Pillar under the dash. There is a hole in the side panel. This could have been activated and switched off the fuel pump. Press this button in.

from what I understand the + & - are both ends of the primary coil , the - goes to the module that turns on and off to generate the spark in the secondary coil that feeds the plugs , if you hook up and ground a plug to the top of the coil and ground the - real fast , turning it on and off you should get a spark , isolate the coil from the rest of the car , or with a multi tester you can test the ohms in the coils , they should be 10's of thousands of ohms , I wouldn't think a starter relay would have anything to do with the ignition coil but I could be wrong , your experience may differ, this info is for you to digest as auto electric can always send you a curve ball to the novice

Check the starter selonoid wire. Its running right next to the crank sensor wires in the same channel. Remove the starter selonoid wire from this channel and re-route it away from the crank angle senor wiring. As you crank the engine, high voltage current is induced into the sensor wiring and won't allow the engine to start.

Check the Starter relay. If this relay has a short circuit in it, you will not get spark. We have had a few of them. Check also the current draw on the main starter cable. Clean the battery terminals and make sure the Positive battery terminals is clean and secure as well as on the starter. Check the battery negative cable from the battery to the body. Fit an extra cable from the battery negative tothe gear box as well. Check the starter selonoid wire is removed away from the same plastic channel as the crank angle sensor.
