I have a 99 Ford explorer 6 cylinder. Tonight the oil pressure gauge started jumping around crazy like once it got good and warm. when I started it, the truck made a weird noise. That I cant even explain. I checked the oil and it is full. What could be the problem?

Sounds like you have to have the oil pump checked before you kill the engine.

If the truck began making a mechanical weird sound do not start it. You'll ruin the engine if you have not already done so. Do as recommended by ytlas.
