What is preventing 2001 Neon RT from starting?

2001 Neon RT 2.0 L suddenly stopped.  Cranks good, spark good, fuel to fuel injectors, air cleaner good.  Cranks strong, doesn't start and suddenly LOUD pop.

Sure does sound like the belt either broke or jumped time. Hope it broke at start up you have a slim chance that it did not bend the valves, otherwise cylinder head removal and disassembly will be required
