airbag deactivation

Why would you want to? Keep in mind many places have laws against deactivating safety features on a car.
The first question you should ask is why do you want to? If you are doing work on the car that requires you to deactivate the airbags, disconnect the battery COMPLETELY and remove the fuses supplying power to the airbags, then wait at LEAST 20 minutes to let the system fully discharge. If you just want them deactivated just to not have them, DON'T DO IT. Airbags are designed to save your life in an accident, and they very well may have to fulfill that purpose.

we want to deactivate it so the takata airbag doesn't kill us, i'll take my chances with the shoulder harness rather than shrapnel
