Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dealership told me back brake pads are worn and need replaced. This is fine,
however they told me with Volkswagons you cannot just change the brake pads
you have to change out other parts of  system and quoted me $600.  Is this true

What other parts? The rotors? Get a price from a shop other than the dealer!!!

yes the rotors. I understand if they are not good. But they said pads and rotors at same time

This is standard operating procedure. It is possible to turn them IF they are not too badly scored.
