what would the SRS light staying on mean?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The light started staying on this last feb 2015 .I thought it might be the cold
because when the truck got warm or the weather got warm it would go off.Any
ideas to what it could be?

I think it means that it's not working. Have it checked by the dealer.

SRS means Supplemental Restraint System. Could be air-bags or seat belt pre-tensioners. The seat belts automatically tighten up and really pin you to the seat whenever the air-bags deploy. You can ignore it or have it fixed if you are willing to go to the expense

We were typing at same time Mark. Anyway, has nothing to do with cold. Is not an engine/power-train issue
