Deear NeoGeo81-- My main guru, Tom Fahy of the Newton Street Garage in Brighton, Ma., laughed when I told him your question. He immediately went on for almost an hour telling me of all the unlikely engine and car combinations he had tried back when he was just a lad. He said that as long as the transmission fits and the engine mounts line up, you can try a lot of different engines. Of course whatever you do I hope you realize that some custom wiring and parts will be needed, so I hope you are a good mechanic. Good luck from Bovan.
