My tach, fuel economy gauge, and my temp gauge stopped working, is this hard to fix?

First find out which fuse those gauges are powered from and see if it's good. If the fuse is blown, there is some kind of short in the circuit. Then, if you have a DMM and the circuit diagrams for your vehicle and care to get under the dash, trace the circuit to find what the fault is. Keep Ohm's law in mind, Voltage=Resistance (Ohms) x Current (Amps).

Replace rechargeable batteries in gauge cluster. Involves cluster removal, access circuit board, remove old batteries. Obtain dual AA battery case and two AA NiCad or NiMh rechargeable batteries from Radio Shack. Solder in new case (with long leads for future (easier) access) somewhere outside of cluster. Re-assemble and you're good to go.
