Talk switch/voice recognition

I have a talk button on my steering wheel, but every time I click the button it
tells me that it is unavailable? does anyone know how to get it to work or
why's its not working, I have attached an example from the manual of what the
button looks like

You have to bluetooth your phone to your car stereo to use this option.
