fuel fills intake manifold

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I fixed the problem that lasted 3 days. It ran great. The fuel regulator.
diaphragm was broken, & was letting fuel into the intake manifold.
Now it has happened again. A new fuel filter & fuel pump was also
put in about a month ago.If it is the regulator again, what would cause
it to break so quickly? Oh, this is a 4.0 1995 ford aerostar van. A
pain to work on anything, very little room.

I recommend you put a pressure test on your pump and make certain your return line is not blocked
Yeah sounds good. My next thing was to check for return blockage. It's just that it ran so good for a few days. Thanks Tom.
the only check valve I'm aware of is in the supply side not the return
Ok, found the problem. The return line at the tank had spun & it caused a kink in the return line. This caused pressure to build up which broke the diaphragm. .Fuel went through the vacuum line & flooded the intake manifold. Thanks again Tom, you were right.
