Resovor over fkow

I have a 2003 jeep liberty 3.7 v6 the serpentine belt
shredded so I replaced it now my over
flow(reservoir) is boiling hot but my Gage isn't
reading hot so I changed thermostat but still
having same problem plz someone help me fix this
before something else goes wrong

What you are describing is usually caused by a weak radiator cap.
