hood emblem on 2004 lincoln navigator

Should be a spring to hold it on, that lets it lay flat if needed.

Its the front hood emblem. Im afraid i might break the plastic clipson it

Have a body shop do it if you are worried about breaking things.

I just replaced mine. To remove the old emblem, you pop it off, you release it on both sides above the top prongs, its on the corners of the emblem plate small gap holes, pop off to release ,you wont break the grille surround but you need to be carefull about scratching , pull from top and the lower prongs will release . i used a flat screw driver. You can only see where you can insert a tool if the nameplate is off and you are removing the backing that have the hooks. The new one just snaps in with a push
