Intermittent hestitation when accelerating
Asked by Kevin_USMC_NH Oct 06, 2015 at 11:34 AM about the 2006 Nissan Altima
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Mileage 80k
Saw that fuel pump screen is only fuel "filter". I assume this should be the last option of repair. Seems like a fairly involved job.
Have run full tank w/ Seafoam to ensure fuel system clean
Looked for air intake for issues, cracks, leaks, filter clean, seem OK.
I did the crank shaft positioning sensor last year
Unsure how to determine of plugs and wires are good
Any suggestions ? Next steps and what order ?

The fuel filter should be good for another 20K, here is a good read on spark plugs. http://www.motoringabout.com/when-to-change-spark-plugs/
If the wires have 80K on them I would just go ahead and change them

Thanks. I saw some internet traffic on Nissan recall of some POS. I haven't checked, but I'm now wondering if there is an issue causing these to fail. Now realizing it has had some "hard start" issues, but I thought battery was weakening, now know battery has full charge. I will also look into the plugs / wires. thanks for jumping in.
