Rear wheel bearing failure 2005 Maxima

Is it normal for both rear wheel bearings to fail at less than 50,000 miles?

Lots of Nissan cars had known bearing issues in the rear. My sentra spec v failed around that time. Fortunately, theyre easy to replace.

A bearing is a bearing no one can determin a bearing life sometimes they last for ever sometimes they dont.

Yes it is. Thats a common problem with Maxima's.Your Maxima's biggest defect is to be VERY cautious of ABS lights if you live in high salt areas. They have a defect where the rr abs sensor corrodes (there is an inexpesive repair and if not tended to can short out your 1400 dollar ABS module...- Mike. Nissan asst service manager..
