What makes a Nissan Pathfinder 2000 cut off when you come to a stop

does it start and idle O.K. ? look for loose/broken vacuum lines , scan for codes even if the light ain't on ,there are monitors that the scanner can read also for more information , spray some carb cleaner down the throttle if you can reach it
