02 pontiac Montana 3400 wont start with key but i can turn key forward and jump it off the starter and it starts but wont stay running.

If you are saying vehicle will not start but if you jump start it will start but soon as you remove the cables it will shut of ? If so you most likely have a bad alternator or battery. Have both tested.

Thank you.. I have got it to start with the key now and the alternator and battery are good they have been checked.. But now it wont stay running once its started. I have checked the fuses the fuel pump and cant figure out why it wont stay running.

Does the vehicle stop running after letting key go or does it run after letting key go then shuts off after a minute or so of running ?

after I let the key go it instantly shuts off like its running out of gas, but I know there's gas in it and I just put on a new fuel pump.
