Possible bad fuel pump, or fuel pump relay. Sounds like the car may not be getting fuel.

Thanks Michael, but the car was running right before we ran out of gas. That's when it wouldn't start.

I didnt know you ran out of fuel, because of this you might be able to add fuel to the tank and reprime / preassurize fuel system by turning the key to on position without cranking and off several times to rebuild preassure. However if that doesnt work then the lack of fuel in the tank could cause the fuel pump to either burn up or pick up debries off the bottom of the tank damaging the fuel pumps internal workings.

Turn the key to run for 5 seconds, then turn the key to off for 5 seconds. Repeat this several times not trying to crank the engine. This should re- prime the fuel pump. If this doesn't work a new fuel pump in in your future.

The fuel pressure is fine. We checked it with a pressure gage. Any other solutions?
