no as other poster replyed, the 2 15 mm bolts are easy they go straigh up into bottom of block, just not to much of the wires come down with it,unhook battery first.

I am trying to replace the starter on my 1988 IROC. Has anyone else come across this bracket that goes from the back of the starter to the engine block? Any recommendations/special tools on how to crack loose the bolt that goes into the engine block? There's no room under there.
