I have a 2007 Ford Escape, I used a key I made at Walmart in my car and the anti theft system lock came on and now my vehicle will not start. Is there a home fix for this?

You may have to get the dealer to make you a new key, you will need the vin# when you call the dealership. Until then do have the old or original key, if so try lockinging then unlocking the door lock with the original key then try starting the SUV.
I have the original key. I have tried it but it won't work.
Did you use it in the door lock before trying the ignition?
So what happens when you put the key in the ignition to start? also why was the new key made, was there a problem with starting the car?
The new key was made just to have a spare. When we try to start the car it won't start. It just makes a clicking noise..
It actually sounds like the battery itself may have died. Have you had the battery tested or tried to jump the battery? Sometimes disconnecting the battery few several minutes can also reset the anti theft system.
