Check the timing the timing chain may have jumped, also check the fuel pressure and firing order. I hope this helps. Take care.
Firing order is correct but will check timing. I put new distributor wires and plugs new fuel pump and nee crank sensor and fuel pump it has 49 and up on the pressure just to give an insight of what I have done
Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. If you have spider fuel system, key on engine off, 60--66 psi fuel pressure. Start up fuel pressure can be critical, once it's running it will run with less pressure. The spider fuel system is noted for problems.
This is the fastest way to check the timing chain. Remove the distributor cap then put a socket on the crank bolt and turn until the rotor in the distributor moves, mark that spot and turn the other way, if the travel was more than 1/4 turn the timing chain is bad, once in a while if you take the ignition timing out of spec. and turn the distributor until it runs the best keeping in mind engine vacuum and therefore mileage will be in the tank.
