This is my truck.1996chevy step side swb. Got her 10 yrs ago. Have replaced 9k in parts over the yrs. Has a 03 vortec v6 with bout 170k the body has 299889.6 I have front end parts to put in and as soon as I got them she had a gas leak ....fix it we think but I have gas in my oil. I did the drops on from the oil stick on a piece of paper and there was more gas than oil....it looked like a coffee stain with oil in center. Well she smelled of gas and we parked her to fix, now im at the moment I can sell or save. My brother UTI grad said fix then told me to sell cuz I don't have another $10 g for another 10 yrs to fix the body if needed and axels ext the things like carpet and seat tears ....the tranny was rebuild last yr barely has 5000 miles on it. But my door hangs bad too ...body is straight she runs smoothly other than a hiccup.
Well I'm keeping mine gonna drop another $1000 in it and see where I get .she will be a classic in 2 yr. Good luck bud.i like my ol truck more than a new tin truck.
