1999Toyota Corolla won't start

Asked by GuruWMH8K May 28, 2018 at 09:48 PM about the 1999 Toyota Corolla

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla that won't start. I
changed the neutral switch and battery,  but the
starter still doesn't even try to engage. When the
key is turned to start, a brake indicator on the dash
comes on, whether or not the brake is depressed.
And when the key turns,  a click is audible.

Most likely starter contacts are done. Common problem with this age. Check this link to see whether this sounds like your car. http://antares.co.nf/toyota-corolla/starter/
