My car will not stay on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn on my car it idles then it shuts off I can
turn it back on but then it turns right back off again
I've fixed battery cable ignition coil ignition module
spark plugs radiator hose thermostat thermostat
gaskets and then someone worked on my car and
told me the thermostat sensor is cracked can that
be the problem

Yes it could be the air filter check and replace if necessary also add some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank. If t-stat sensor is cracked it could be telling the engine to shut down when it is warmed up.

These don't shut down if they get hot. Will if stay running if you hit the gas? If yes, your looking at iac or vacuum leak issues. If no, try changing the fuel filter. Maybe it's running out of fuel supply. You can test for this by seeing if it will run off starting fluid instead of die

This happened on my 2004 Blazer. I noticed that the clock had also reset to 12:00. That indicated that the computer had lost power. That meant that the battery was too low.........Had the battery checked, and sure enough it was a bad battery. Replaced it and it has been fine ( 3 months ago )
