They make kits for this & for sale from custom shops for a stand alone engine module. Do search on the net for 350 stand alone kit.
What is the exact kit I should be searching for, for this transition? Putting 1993 350 Chevy van motor into 1984 base model Monte Carlo that original has a v6 with automatic 3speed transmission.. and I want to keep the original 3speed transmission in it if possible, only looking to swap motors as long as the 3speed transmission can handle it.. and that van motor had an computer on its transmission.. my Monte Carlo does not

You will have to look for your exact set up at a store like Summit, Copy & Paste url below it shows the modules but may not be the one you need but can do that search on the site or call summit to get the exact module you need would be what I would do I will post it below but also i will come back with some other alternatives.

The valve body can be swapped out taking all the sensors with it out and swapped in a valve body from a performance shop like summit. Or replace the trans with an older unit that does not have the need for the computer module, Those would have to be any that bolt to the 350 and has the same tail and length for your drive shaft, also need the kick down cable.
I really do appreciate your help , and any other alternatives I will be sure to do research on them aswell.. thank you
