EAsy as cake 86' Monte's also came with v8 engines so parts should be easy to find
yeah it'll be a walk in the park if you know what your doing. i did itt in a cutlass. same car basicly. i also owned 3 montes, the v6's and the 305 v8s they put in there were just about the same size really, and ive know guy that have dropped 455 olds rockets in there. you should have no problem.
it can be done in a weekend, it will bolt up with little problems, be sure to get the computer and harness for the v8. switching it over to carbureated would be a bigger hassle than putting in the motor was
switching to a carb is easier than hooking up fuel injection computers and splicing into the electical systems by far. For the switch to a carb, all you need to do is run a fuel line, run a power source to the distributer, and cut out all of the computer wiring crap. Just get the car inspected before the swap to carb, just to be sure you'll pass emissions for the year.
