what model of transmission came in it ? 700r4 turbo 350 or turbo 400?

Typically the THM400 was the transmission of choice for these vehicles.

Actually the transmissions available in the 1989 suburban were the 700R4(1/2 ton) and 4L80(3/4 ton).

I'm a 1990 Chevy Suburban 1500 Silverado I'm wanting to know what transmission is got in it the 5.7 liter motor but I don't know what transmission is got on the right side it says 5 then it says m d8 on the other is got 866-3549 and that's all I know about it I want to know what transmission it is

I have an 89 Suburban that only has a 3 speed (so its definitely not a 700R4 or 4L80E) and I know they had pretty much phased out the T350 at this time, the T400 was still used sporadically until around 91
