What year Bird are you thinking of? The 25th year was 1980 and had a clear hood ornament. The diamond would infer 75 years so that would be the 2030 model.

I have a 25th Anniversary hood ornament in my hand! As the #1 answer stated, it is clear, and, I add, with no provision for a light. My ornaments with the blue and red inserts look much sharper. Even the base "wire" ones impress me more than the 25th Anniversary one. The red one is presently on my 1981.
