Bolt it in!! It"s as if Ford originally anticipated this swap.I did it to my wifes 84,and it was a breeze! I even used the same transmission, and It"s still on the road,4 years after the swap..

Thank you I am building this car for my son by the time he can drive I hope it is done what year engine did you use
what or how did you bypass the fuel injection?????I know how,but explain to this man how you did it.
I used a 351 windsor,out of my old 1981 work truck..I went to pull-apart,and got the fuel tank,and fuel lines,out of a 1983 t-bird,that was originally equipped,with a 3.8 carbureted engine.As far as the computer,I simply took it,and the harness,out..I also used exhaust manifolds,from a v-8 fairmont..
It"s been TOO LONG, since the last time,I had a chance to post- as I left Oklkahoma, Went back Home, to Orangevale California,Married my child-hood sweet heart, and,am living happely ever after,LOL!!UP- Date, on my EX- Wife"s T- Bird...I dropped a 351 W, out of an 85-or 86 E150,and,, The pan cleared..I also, for the sake, of the original fuel-guage to work properly,,Used another 86 fuel tank ( My wifes T-bird,is, in fact, an 85- my bad),,and, used the return- line, as the new pick-up point...
I have built a couple of V-8 T-birds,since then, and, to keep the fuel injection, I used Mustang engines, complete with harness, and ECM"s..WAY easier.... SORRY- for being 2 YEARS LATE!
