pre purchase check in vegas?

There is a service called Lemon Squad that you can look up but they do not put it up on a lift or do any serious mechanical check. I believe they only do a visual and drive test. If you want more, check the yellow pages and call some repair shops.

I had a bad experience with Lemon Squad. I had an inspection done, but had a feeling that the quality was just not there (they had missed some obvious scratches and the car had some vibrations that I felt were outside the norm for the vehicle). Brought it in to a local mechanic about 3 weeks after their inspection and found that I needed 2800 dollars in repairs. When I asked for a refund Lemon Squad told me since it was after 14 days I could take a hike. They really don't stand behind their inspections.
