Truck won't run

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was driving truck acted like it ran outta gas
started it again started right up then died
again  will turn over and start with ethanol
then dies instantly please help

try to replace the fuel pump and if your truck uses a fuel filter i would suggest changing that up as well

I don't think u wanna start replacing parts without first diagnosing if they're bad. I would start by checking fuel pressure at rail and take if from there

If this is a dual tank truck switch to the other tank . If it works then it is the fuel pump. Be quiet and get some one to just turn the ignition switch halfway on and you should be able to hear the fuel running take the gas cap off and you can hear it better. Flip the switch to other tank and if your don't hear it then it is the fuel pump.
