I go with Dan's response> Maintenance is essential for reliable service.

it can be a dud after 20,000 miles if the electronic control sys takes a powder. dont matter a bit about regular maintenence, weird symptoms and a no go or no start and if you dont get a code from the odometer or tester , you cant do much of anything except spend a lot of money with no promises

Any electronic devise can fail with no warning, look at Toyota acceleration, space station, cell phones, etc. We are all victims of technology today.
