The clutch is the connection between the transmission from the engine. It may be that the clutch is not working to disconnect. It could be the transmission is bad. Can you change gears when the engine is not running?

Yes. And when I'm able to engage the a gear when holding down the pedal it seems to engage slowly. Wanting to push me into a intersection.

on the side of the transmission is a large "tootsie roll"...this is your slave cylinder...you'll need someone to open the bleeder valve and shut it once the helper presses the clutch pedal...the pedal is linked to another large tootsie roll that pushes the hydraulic fluid...this one's got seals that are crappy and not containing the fluid anymore~ replacement parts are....like not that much~>>>>http://www.jcwhitney.com/clutch-kits/dodge-ram- pickup/c3651d18048j1s21.jcwx

The clutch fluid reservoir is on the fire wall next to the brake fluid reservoir. The master cylinder is under the reservoir. The slave cylinder is where oper. 13 described.

Clutch rod assembly is the culprit. You need to remove the pedal assembly and replace the worn out bushings and / or fabricate a new rod. This is the rod that pushes in the hydraulic cylinder mounted on the firewall.
