1999 Dodge ram not running after sensors changed

Asked by J3nnamari3 Oct 16, 2016 at 03:03 PM about the 1999 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck is the 5.9 liter.
Truck was cutting out between 40 and
50mph.
Running really rough.
After it was warmed up you would lose all
power.
Had it diagnosed at a shop.
They said o2 sensors plugs and wires
Changed both o2 sensors and it ran the
same
When i changed plugs and wires and got a
new distributor cap and rotor bug it won't
hardly start at all
And when it does it dies if you take your foot
off the gas.
It also smokes a little too.
We got new battery and made sure the wires
were in correct and made sure timing was
right.
Distributor was double checked and has not
been turned.
