While in 4 wheel going approx. 10 mph a very loud snap bang from under the cab (I
think) now no more 4 wheel drive. I mean very loud. Could probably hear it from 50 to 75
yards away. Any thoughts on where to begin.

I would start by doing a visual inspection under the truck. Did the front drive shaft snap? Is there anything hanging or out of place? With a noise that loud, it may be obvious as to what broke under the truck aside from a possible issue inside the transfer case..
Nothing hanging and it drives ok. Would damage to the transfer case make such a loud bang?
You very well could have snapped a locking hub or both. These are known to make a loud "pop" when they bust.
Not the hubs I had that problem in the past. This was more like a solid metal bang.
What would a fair amount of labor hours be to remove a transfer case and replace it with a used one?
