can I put XM radio in my 2005 X-type Jaguar without installing a new radio? I don't want to interrupt the serenity of the dash. Another option would be to develop "blue tooth" capability so that I could plug in my phone. Any thoughts?

By far, the least expensive and least complicated method would be to use of the many Bluetooth In-Car kits that are available from places like Amazon.com, Best Buy, etc. These will play the music (and route calls) through your car's speakers. There are a TON of them out there, so definitely do some research to see what will work best for you (and look nice in your Jag!). Here's one option: http://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Bluetooth-handsfree-speakerphone-support/dp/B00HLC8I5Y/ref=sr_1_17?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1417359631&sr=1-17&keywords=bluetooth+car+kit
