is my engine blown

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Been having trouble with my dip stick being blown
out of the engine. Last week  it blew out but my oil
light didn't come on.  heard a knocking in the
engine but was on a bridge . Pulled over asap but
the knocking turned into grinding and then there
was a very loud bang and lots of smoke from the
tail pipe. Put oil into engine and tried to start the
car but nothing happened. Had the car towed
home but still won't start.
