My Volkswagen Beetle 1974 after a day the car is
completely dead and I need to recharge the battery
I tried doing the test for the alternator but when I
unplug the cable to the battery I hear a clicking
noise what is that clicking noise? Can anybody
help me

Why would want to take the battery cable off anyhow ??? Buy an ohm meter , I think your VW has an early Bosch fuel injection system and that the clicking noise is from the fuel injection , or relays

Thank all im going to try the ammeter and see what i can conclude. Is there anything beside the alternator that can cause a car to die within a day or two? And i just put a brand bew battery in it aswell.
