I have a 2006 H-3 that I started to have problems starting about every 3 months.now it is happening once a week. The lights come on and acts like it will start but will not. I will put it in nuetral and reingage the shifter put the key in and out and after 10 to 15 minutes it will start.The batteries are a year old

Can't rule out battery(ies) due to age; battery cells go bad and/or the batteries don't put out enough juice (amps). Check the cold crank amperage (CCA) rating for the battery(ies) to be sure there are plenty of amps. Not sure why you are trying to crank your H3 in Neutral unless it is a standard transmission. Assuming it is, anyway, on manual and automatic transmissions there are sensors that signal the computer if the vehicle is in Park/Neutral when you toggle the key to Start. I am not a "DIY" person anymore, so I would take it to a GM dealership or professional (trustworthy or recommended) mechanic to have the problem fixed. ALSO, you need to rule out the Ignition Switch (could be worn out or defective), GM put out a Tech Bulletin suggesting one of the first trouble- shooting options is to check the Ignition Key Switch when you get an intermittent no-start condition.

Most likely the security system having a glitch. Happens occasionally. The security system shuts down the fuel pump. Lock the car with the key fob, let it sit at LEAST tn minutes, then unlock the car with the key fob, and start it. Not sure why this happens, but you are basically rebooting the security system. The most important thing is waiting the required minimum of ten minutes.
