2000 chevy suburban 5.3 oil reads high on stick no oil in filter motor seems to be close to being locked up can still get crank to turn when i put a jump start on it i think it is oil pump out

You may have a bad head gasket, or cracked head. Did it overheat one time? Oil filling up like that is usually anti-freeze which would lock up the motor.
car did not overheat i drained oil out it had about 61/2 qt it looked like it had gone 3000 miles had a gas smell pulled oil filter had no oil in it truck seemed to be running fine when i pulled dipstick oil looked nice and clean but when i drained everything out it looked real dirty when 69 miles after i changed oil
So you did a oil change? and how many quarts did you put back in? Did you notice if there was sludge in the oil like globs of sh** coming out? And was there any oil at all at the oil filter? Is there a pressure gage on the dash and what was it doing when looking at it? What did it read? Last, how many miles are on this?
The oil was dark no clumps did not see pressure one of the guys who work for me did it when i drained it it was maybe a qt over oil was already dark it went about 70 miles. No oil in oil filter acts like its locked. Up but i put jump box on it and all the pulleys will start to turn thats with me just bumping the key
So if there is no oil at all inside oil filter area, (housing) you are not getting any oil pressure. Going to try and save it?
I dont know if ut can be saved. Dont know uf it is oil pump ir if ut mught be problem with the tube stoped. Up bring oil upto pump are a whole list of other things that has come to mind it might gave chance since i can get the crank to move it has 230000 on it
With that many miles on her even if you were to get it going its not going to last long, and would be problem after problem. I got 237000 out of mine, oil pressure was still good but a lot of other issues. If the truck is in decent shape its worth wild to get a long block for her.
I agree with Rowefast. Most gasoline engines of any make/model, 230,000 don't last that long without at least a valve job. -it has served you well, and if you start fixing things one at a time you will just have another problem pop up and will spend more money and time than just getting a long-block. Use the same PCM from old engine so it will recognize you keys.
