2005 ford escape not running good and doesn't start when its warm, also the temp gauge is not working

assuming you have had tuneups and clean fuel filters etc. I have heard sometimes that the IAC (idle air control) valve on the escape can cause this problem. also dirty or worn injectors.

also, wouldn't hurt to check fuses and relays, but the temp gauge could be the coolant temp sensor. it should be a one wire sensor screwed into the block somewhere.
