A/C - Heater suddenly quit working

Asked by faithfulfox Sep 08, 2013 at 08:28 AM about the GMC Envoy XL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The Automatic A/C - Heater was working one day and the next day doing nothing.  There
is no air blowing (the fan is not running).  I did my best to check the appropriate fuses.  I
checked different fan settings and flow settings and the fan never comes on.  Since a fan
usually makes noise before going out, I am wondering if it is not electrical somewhere.
Any suggestions for trouble-shooting? [1999 GMC Envoy]

With age of your vehicle it could be the blower motor. Just for giggles with fan on high setting bump on the blower box. Sometimes this tends to get one back blowing for a while anyways. If that does not get it check electrical connection at blower for power.
