start simple first check wires from battery to solenoid to starter for connection and corrosion. If that pans out to be a good connection i would say it is a bad solenoid or a fuse.
first check your safety switch,at the clutch, if manual or automatic at the side of the trans. you can make a jumper (temp. one just to check the circuit)if this is good engage the starter at the solenoid, just jump the two post with a screw driver if you don't have a remote switch. oh and there is more to test if that works but you will know where the problem isn't
sounds like a blown fuseable link,on pos side of battery cable, follow it down to starter,it is round black or white plastic with a wire in each end, pull on wire on both sides see if it streaches,if so is blown.sometimes they burn into,(the wire) easy to replace.
Is it actually no power at starter or is it not cranking??
