If it has not been removed, the vin# should be on the dash left side visible through the windshield. Check with you local police department auto theft detail. There are other locations the vins have been placed on the car and they may be able to tell you where they are located. If you just bought the car, do you have the old registration card? Start from there. If you are looking to buy the car, go to the police department and find out where to look. The registration must be visible on the dash of the car. If not it may be a junker/wrecked car restored and may not be eligible for registration on the street.

It sounds like he is looking for a Vette he used to own or was stolen. OP???
