2002 jaguar x type 3.0 it when i drove my car it stayed on 20 to 30 mph ,can anyone tell me why can go faster then that?

Your car has gone into limp mode, also should have engine check light on.Go to auto shop to get codes checked. It could any reason from vacuum leak, gear problems or ABS.

It could be a vacuum leak but I would have to know what other things it was doing. If it has idle issues it could also be O2 sensor. It could be a vacuum leak if there are no lights on the dash that indicate check engine then it's unlikely that an auto shop can pull the code. While the engine is on lift the hood and listen for a sucking or even a light whistle sound and if you hear that it's likely a vacuum leak ... these cars are bad about that.

It could be an O2 sensor . if it stalls i had the same problem. Just go to auto zone or o/O'reily's and get a free check engine test. they will give you codes that will tell you what may be the problem.
