Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have Camry LE I had set of tires replace at 36399 miles. Two days ago I went to have my tires rotated and balance, and THE MECHANIC BROUGHT to my attention that the rear tires wore out like a 1 year old tire. Yokohama Avid. P216/60R-16 94T BSW The aligment was fine, no wear at front tires only on rear. I have been at three tire deales but they do not have an idea of what haven. The tire seller Discount Tires is replacing the rear tires with Eagle GT V rated. He said that my car should ware V rated tires, but only drive locally and maybe twice a year I drive from Miami to Orlando to see my son. Any suggestions?

Toyota is known for quick wear on it's control arms. Those are probably worn out and causing increased tread wear.

Thank you for your response. I only have 42300 miles on my car right now. Could the control arms on my 2008 Toyota been wore. I just had the 4 wheel alignment done Monday. They gave me a print out of the alignment of a "2007 Toyota Camry" .They claim that the rear toe was to be 0.15* - 0.40* it was set at 0.75* so he corrected it to 0.25* the left and the right tire. Could it be the rear alignment what caused the rear tires to wear in only 3 months and 6000 miles.
