Pretty sad that the Salesman didn't know what it was...WORSE that he didn't THINK to ask another salesman, his Manager, OR someone in the Service Dept what the damn thing is...Jesus o.O

Thanks so much for the response. Not only was I able to tell my wife "mystery solved" but we called the Sales Rep and "educated" him as well. Again, our thanks.

If it is black plastic about two inches long and shaped like a small tool, it's probably a wrench to remove the antenna when you take your vehicle through a car wash.

I have the opposite problem - my crossbars were already installed but there was no lever key included. My salesman also has no idea what i'm talking about and keeps telling me to "bring the Rav4 in and our service department will remove them". Who wants that? Does anyone know where to get one of these lever keys?
