We got a 2003 Taurus from my mother law that had been sitting in her garage for a yr.The car only had 22,000 miles on it! We had to put a starter on it soon after we got it. 2wks ago we put an altinator and battery. Know the Starter is bad.
Unfortunately, most of the inexpensive rebuilders ship everything to the Phillipines or a third-world country for cheap labor and we get cheap products. Our shop won't buy anything that isn't locally remanufactured - more expensive - yes. But then we can call so-and-so's Auto Electric and talk to the guy who rebuilt it and get it handled.
