I agree with Tom. Take some one who knows about cars and that knows what to listen for. How it sounds when it starts. And test drive if before you make an offer on it. Oh and the main thing make sure there is no leaks and the only thing that could be going out maybe be the battery depends on if they take care of the car and does its regular tune ups

The 3.8 is known for blowing headgaskets.

the restrictive exhaust is what causes the failures on the tbirds just fyi. the cats have a 90 deg bend in them
